Lucia Leuci (1977, Bari) is a visual artist based in Milan.
She mainly works with sculpture and installation, drawing and painting as a primary necessity.
Through the combinations of elements and materials research, she currently investigates the theme of motherhood and the meaning of being "Creole" at present time.

“My work originates from the selection of serial, ordinary volumes found by chance in daily life or large retailers. In my research ordinary artifacts produced in Asia are interpreted with a lexicon mutuated from the pictorial vocabulary. I superpose decorations and chromatic gestures, aware that the alteration of an infinite chain of equal things - as well as the decorative lexicon – conceal the divergent thought, that is the ultimate space for originality. As if the boundless field of the human subconscious survived within the interruption of the seriality of elements not entirely created by the artist, after the ethical boundary between harmony and error has drawned.”

Lucia earned a diploma in Visual Arts and Decoration from the Academy of Fine Arts in L’Aquila, and attended courses at the Hoge School “Sint Lukas” in Brussels and the Architecture Department of the University of Bari.
In 2016 she founded PANE, an artist project for contemporary art.
